Tom Bensen

Bensen Tom webTom grew up in Connecticut, and early in life discovered street corner Doo-Wop, performing in such less-than-legendary groups as Larry & the Tone-Deafs and Bensen & the Hedges. At Kenyon College, he sang with the a cappella group the Kokosingers. In Missoula, Tom has been a member of the Missoula Symphony Chorale, the Missoula Folk & A Cappella Singers, and the quartet Nothing Sacred. He occasionally sits in as a vocalist with the Ed Norton Big Band. Tom has served as executive director of Arts Missoula since 2004. His wife Susan works for Montana Public Radio, and their son Peter is a musician living in Portland.
